Pay Per View Crystal Ball:
Survivor Series 2013
By Donald McDermott
Thanksgiving is right around the corner and that means it’s time once again for the WWE to present Survivor Series! Take a look at the matches…and how I see them unfolding…at this year’s highly anticipated event!
Kick-off Match – Kofi Kingston vs. The Miz
The Miz never seemed to click with fans as a babyface and finally went back to being the heel that people love to hate. A win here over Kofi would be a good way to re-establish Miz as a solid heel.
My Crystal Ball Says: Miz gets the three count in a solid start to the PPV.
Curtis Axel vs. Big E. Langston – Intercontinental Title Match
Axel is a good performer, but didn’t create very much buzz as IC Champ. And without Heyman by his side, he is even less interesting. Langston on the other hand, is paving the way for a nice start to his solo career.
My Crystal Ball Says: Good match, but Big E. walks out with the title.
Total Divas vs. Non-Total Divas – 7-on-7 Elimination Match
This match is pretty much just a way to promote the WWE’s popular Total Divas reality show. Could also be a good way to showcase a few under-used talents, and maybe start a new feud for champ AJ Lee.
My Crystal Ball Says: Eva Marie continues her push by getting the pin for her team.
Cody Rhodes, Goldust, Rey Mysterio and The Usos vs. The Shield and The Real Americans - Survivor Series Elimination Match
Lots of talent here in what could be the best match of the night. The Shield needs to look strong, Cesaro has been looking great lately, and Cody and Dustin will show that they deserve to carry tag team gold.
My Crystal Ball Says: Mysterio gets rewarded for his return by getting the final pin for the face team.
CM Punk and Daniel Bryan vs. Luke Harper and Erick Rowan
Harper and Rowan get their first taste of the Survivor Series spotlight with two of the biggest names in the company. Definitely expecting Bray Wyatt to get involved in this one.
My Crystal Ball Says: The Wyatts need the win to look strong, probably by disqualification to keep this feud going.
John Cena vs. Alberto Del Rio –
World Heavyweight Championship Match
Back on top after returning from his injuries, I expect Cena to fight off Del Rio, injured arm and all. Cena's survival against all odds is a better story than putting the belt back on Del Rio so soon.
My Crystal Ball Says: Cena didn’t come back early to drop the title at home. AA for the win.
Randy Orton vs. The Big Show - WWE Championship Match
WWE has done a good job of making Show look dangerous and like a legit threat to win. Triple H and Stephanie also say that Orton is on his own in this match. Not sure I am buying that though.
My Crystal Ball Says: The Authority shows up to help Orton get the win.
