It’s that time of year again. Time for the WWE to take it to the EXTREME! Take a look at the matches…and how I see them unfolding…at this year’s highly anticipated event!

Alberto Del Rio vs Jack Swagger - I Quit Match:
What was originally scheduled to be a triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship is now a number one contender’s match after Dolph Ziggler suffered a very real concussion.

My Crystal Ball Says: This could go either way. But since Ziggler is a heel champ, it makes more sense me that he feuds with a face. Look for Del Rio to “sneak across” to victory

Mark Henry vs Sheamus - Strap Match

I like the idea of putting these two powerhouses together for a quick feud. This match has a really old-school feel to it for me as well. Especially after the welt-inducing whipping Sheamus took on TV recently.

My Crystal Ball Says: Whether it be the WWE Title or the World Heavyweight Title, the company needs another big-time heel threat. Henry looks primed for one more run as that heel they need.

Randy Orton vs The Big Show - Extreme Rules Match
After knocking out both of his partners at Mania, Big Show gets to go one on one with The Apex Predator. Not a whole lot of frills here, since we’ve pretty much seen it before. But I still like both guys in the ring well enough to be interested.

My Crystal Ball Says: I really enjoy Show as a heel. The truth though, is that the World’s Largest Athlete is at the end of his run, and Orton would benefit from a win more. Expect an RKO to the EXTREME.

Fandango vs Chris Jericho

Just a plain old one on one match? And a rematch from WrestleMania no less. This is Extreme Rules right? Where are the tables, the ladders, the chairs (oh my!). I would even settle for the dance floor of doom.

My Crystal Ball Says: Since his return, Jericho has done a really good job of putting over the up and coming talent in the WWE. If he didn’t beat Fandango at Mania I wouldn’t expect it to be much different now.

Dean Ambrose vs. Kofi Kingston

                    - Intercontinental Title Match

After Extreme Rules, each member of the Shield could be carrying gold, and I think they will be. This match was put together with no real build up at all, but it should still be a solid match from start to finish.
My Crystal Ball Says: This is one of those matches you won’t want to leave your seat for. Ambrose takes his first step towards break-out status and walks out with his first solo title.

Team Hell No vs Set Rollins and Roman Reigns
                    - Tag Team Title Match

This could be the best match of the night. Kane and Bryan are two of the most consistent performers in the company, while Reigns and Rollins have yet to put on a bad match in their very young careers.
My Crystal Ball Says: The Shield suffered its first defeat on last week’s RAW (although it was by disqualification). Defeating Team Hell No and capturing tag team gold will erase that from everyone’s memory.

Brock Lesnar vs Triple H - Cage Match

Lesnar beat HHH at Summerslam 2012. Triple H avanged that loss last month at Mania. The rubber match puts both Men inside a good old-fashioned steel cage. Only Hell in a Cell could have been better.
My Crystal Ball Says: This is one of two matches I am not sure of. Logic says that HHH does what is best for the company and keeps Lesnar looking strong for his next feud. And who am I to argue with logic?

John Cena vs Ryback

      - Last Man Standing Match for the WWE Title

The night after WrestleMania, The Big Hungry replaced “Feed Me More” with “Ryback Rules.” He completed his heel turn by setting his sights on John Cena and the WWE Titles.

My Crystal Ball Says: This is the other match I’m not sure of. Ryback needs a PPV win. They have played up Cena’s injuries to the hilt. I just can’t see taking the belt off of Cena after he JUST got it back at Mania.
