Inside The Huddle: Previews and Predictions for All of the Games Going on Around the NFL in week 8!

by Donald "Duckie" McDermott

New York Giants at Philadelphia Eagles

X’s and O’s: The Giants finally got their first win of the season in Week 7 with a 23-7 win at MetLife Stadium on Monday Night. The Eagles are in danger of losing their second game in a row after last week’s 17-3 loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

Duckie’s Luckies: Big Blue wins second straight

San Fransisco 49ers at Jacksonville Jaguars

X’s and O’s: At 0-7, the Jaguars look like more and more like the worst team in the league. As if the winless start wasn’t enough, this week they host one of the best teams in the league, the San Fransisco 49ers.

Duckie’s Luckies: Niners roll in Jacksonville.

Buffalo Bills at New Orleans Saints

X’s and O’s: The Saints are happy to be at home after their bye week, considering their last game was a last second loss to the New England Patriots. The Bills are coming off a tough 23-21 loss to their division rival Miami Dolphins.

Duckie’s Luckies: Bad news for Buffalo this Sunday

Cleveland Browns at Kansas City Chiefs

X’s and O’s: The Chiefs look to reach the halfway point of the season at a perfect 8-0 after a narrow 17-16 victory over Houston in week 7. The Browns had a 3 game winning streak snapped a week ago with a 31-13 road loss to the Green Bay Packers.

Duckie’s Luckies: Browns get scalped in KC

Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots

X’s and O’s: Tom Brady and New England look to get back on track after an upset loss to the Jets in week 7. The Dolphins look to make it two in a row against division rivals with a close win against Buffalo.

Duckie’s Luckies: Gronk helps NE squish the fish.

Dallas Cowboys at Detroit Lions

X’s and O’s: The banged up Dallas Cowboys head into the Motor City after a 17-3 win over Philadelphia. The Lions will try to right the ship after a tough 27-24 loss at home to the Cincinnati Bengals.

Duckie’s Luckies: Boys ride out of Detroit with the win.

New York Jets at Cincinnati Bengals

X’s and O’s: The Jets are flying high after a huge win over the division rival New England Patriots in week 7. The Bengals sit atop the AFC North at 5-2, which includes a 3-0 record at home.

Duckie’s Luckies: Bengals ground the Jets in Cincy.

Washington Redskins at Denver Broncos

X’s and O’s: Peyton Manning and the Broncos should be angry and hungry after getting outplayed a week ago in Indianapolis. The skins are coming off a big 45-41 home win against the Chicago Bears.

Duckie’s Luckies: Broncos bounce back in Denver

Pittsburgh Steelers at Oakland Raiders

X’s and O’s: After starting off their season at 0-4, the Steelers look to have gotten back to their winning ways with back to back wins against the Jets and Ravens. Terrelle Pryor continues to improve as the 2-4 Raiders come off their bye week.

Duckie’s Luckies: Steelers make it 3 in a row.

Atlanta Falcons at Arizona Cardinals

X’s and O’s: The Falcons continue to deal with a slew of injuries as they hope to improve on a disappointing 2-4 start to the season. The look to get their own record to .500 after getting beaten at home by the Seahawks in week 7.

Duckie’s Luckies: Falcons win a tough battle of the birds.

Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings

X’s and O’s: The receiver-depleted Packers head to Minnesota for a division match-up with the Vikings after a 31-13 win at home against the Packers one week ago. Josh Freeman will make his second start as the Vikings Quarterback after a lackluster debut against the Giants.

Duckie’s Luckies: Packers D conquers the Vikes.

Seattle Seahawks at St. Louis Rams

X’s and O’s: The Seahawks improved to 6-1 in week 7 with a 34-22 win over the Cardinals, strengthening their case as one of the best teams in the NFL. The already struggling St. Louis Rams lost quarterback Sam Bradford for the season during a 30-15 loss to the Panthers.
