One day last week I had written that my goal was basically to just lose about 2 pounds a week. I had read somewhere that the slower you lose weight the easier it is to keep off. That sounds pretty good, even for someone as impatient as me when it comes to weight loss. Put it on all my life, want it all off in one week. I’m sure we can all relate to that feeling. Well anyway, two pounds a week seemed a manageable number to achieve, and I am happy to report that this week I hit it right on the nose.

Limped through the door this morning at around 5am from the night job. Crashed out until around 9am…yaaawwwwwn…..streeeetch. Limped to the scale right away. No need to put off the inevitable, right? Well I lost exactly two pounds. Now please understand when someone like me says out loud that I would like to lose TWO pounds a week…in the back of my head I am really hoping to drop TEN pounds a week. Lol. Patience is a big part of this kind of journey too. And at times it can be as difficult a task as getting yourself moving or choosing the right foods.

I am getting there though, a little closer every day. I am down 6 pounds in two weeks. And you know what, a drop is a drop. As long as it’s not a gain. The numbers on the scale are headed in the right direction, and that is always a good thing. And now if you will excuse me, I am going to celebrate today’s victory by finishing up my day job, going to visit my mom, having a healthy dinner with my dad, and tackling the night job yet again. I’m just a party animal aren’t I? Lol. Have a good one….keep moving!

Until tomorrow…..
