Is it weird that I went almost the whole day today and JUST now realized that tomorrow is the start of a brand new month? Whew…they really do fly on by don’t they? Can’t say I am sorry to see February go though. I live out on Long Island nowadays. Waaaaay out in Suffolk County. Think of the farthest point on the Island you have been to…and I am probly a little bit east of there. Lol. But anyway, we got SLAMMED with snow this month. More snow than I hope to ever see in my lifetime again. It is just starting to finally melt away as we roll into March. New month…new season (come on spring!)…new experiences. On the positive side of things, I did start out on this new little adventure of mine almost two weeks ago. So as disappointing as February might have been in a lot of ways, at least I found a way to finish the month out strong.

Always finish a little bit stronger than you started, as my trainer and friend Jonathan would say. I am happy to report that it’s been a pretty solid week for me so far. Trying out some new meal options the past few days. It’s one of the perks of trying to get healthier. Had blackened salmon for the very first time early this week and it was AWESOME. I am definitely a fish person. Which is really good because fish is an excellent source of protein. It is also rumored to be “brain food.” Which is also a plus for me. Cuz let’s face it, I need all the help I can get. Ha ha ha. I enjoyed the salmon so much the other day that I made some tilapia last night at home. Baked it with a little onion and garlic….reeeeaaaallly good. And then tonight I used ground turkey to make a mini meat loaf for Meghan and I.

I really enjoy cooking whenever possible. In general I find it to be healther, definitely cheaper…and fun. Lucky for me Meg likes her dad’s cookin too. Well it’s getting late here at my place. Megs is sound asleep and I am about to head down to my trusty man-cave for a quick work out, followed by a good night’s sleep. Hope you’re havin’ a good week as well. But before I sign off, I would like to extend birthday wishes to Brittany Keehner on her 21st. Can’t believe her sweet 16 was five years ago already. Congrats…and enjoy! Also wishing a very Happy Birthday to Jennifer Castro. My ex-PARENTGUIDE co-worker and the person who single handedly got me to dress up as Santa Claus this past Christmas. Ho-ho-Happy Birthday! Lol. Okay, bad jokes mean I am officially tired. G’nite all….tomorrow is another day. Hope you stop by again!
