First and foremost, let me wish everyone out there a Happy Passover and an awesome Good Friday!

Is anyone else out there as shocked as I am that a third of the new year is gone already? Okay, now let me also apologize for doubling up on my posts at the start of this holiday weekend. Things have been reeeeaaallly on the hectic side for me the past few days. My primary source of income (Monday – Friday, 9am-5pm) and my second job (working nights a few days out of the month) have collided in one fiery metaphorical mess…as they tend to do sometimes. On top of that, I am balancing time with Meghan (my favorite time in any day), getting ready for Easter, and also trying to be a responsible son, friend, employee and relative in general. Hoooooo boy…..does anyone else feel like their weekends are even busier and crazier than their days during the week?

On a positive note, in the midst of all this running around I have still managed to keep my wits about me. Been sticking to my guns with the food intake. And the good thing about not having to work on a Saturday (til late at night anyway) is that I have the opportunity to double up on my workouts during the day. That scale will be waiting for me on Monday morning bright and early…I have to do what I can to make sure it doesn’t win this week’s battle. So after getting home from doing deliveries at 4:30am on Friday night/Saturday morning, I was up and out the door just a few short hours later. I got to see Meghan over at the Holtzville Ecology Center for our weekly walk/run. I got to start my Saturday off by jogging three miles.

THEN, after an appointment with Meghan and her mom, followed by a quick lunch with my beautiful little girl (turkey wrap with a small strawberry smoothie – YUM!)….it was off to softball practice in the afternoon. Meghan signed me up to play….but I have to say I am enjoying myself. Finished up feeling good…both physically and emotionally. YAAAWWWWWN….tired but good. And now…just enough time for a quick dinner at home (by myself – so lonely! LOL)….chicken thighs (baked) with steamed rice and black beans. Heading out the door tonight for job number too (AGAIN). Have I yawned yet?  Hope your weekend is as enjoyable as mine has been so far…just maybe not quite so busy 

Until tomorrow!
