Happy Hump Day Everyone! Well we are officially one day into my 42nd year. And ya know what? I think I need a nap already. Ha ha ha ha. Just kidding. Actually woke up feeling pretty good today. I have been working the past few nights in a row on my second job. So getting to bed at a decent hour for my birthday was much needed. Got up today ready to tackle the day head on. Got up nice and early this morning. While Meggy was still asleep, I got her school bag packed, layed out her clothes and made her breakfast. Then I whipped up a cup of tea….
….scrambled eggs with fat free cheese and whole wheat toast for me. After dropped Meggy off at school, it was time for me to get the work day started. Around lunchtime I went out for my run. I will tell you that running around lunchtime definitely helps. I have found that I get back all hot and sweaty…and the last thing I want to do is eat anything bad or heavy. I end up eating a salad, a sandwich, some fruit….always something on the light and healthy side. Something to keep in mind if you are having similar struggles in the food department.
Tonight was also my last day of work on the delivery job for the month of June. I knew I was going to be out late, and money is definitely and object. So I packed a “to go” bag for my dinner. Throughout the night, I got to much on a homemade tuna sandwich on whole wheat, a yogurt, and two granola bars. Not exactly a five star dinner. BUT…it was cheaper than buying anything in the city….and healthier too. And now, with the birds chirping and the sun starting to come up in the window outside my office…..I can honestly say that it is time to get some sleep.
Until tomorrow!
