Ahhhhhhhh….woke up feeling so much better today. I know that this isn’t exactly what you want to hear from someone who is trying to live a healthier life, but I have sort of learned to live without sleep. Without a LOT of sleep anyway. My life can be pretty hectic at times. Sometimes there just aren’t enough hours in the day for me. Something has to suffer for my cause…and that something is usually sleep. Like I said, I know that isn’t the best thing for me, but it is what it is. I will admit though that on those rare occasions where I am able to get a full, restful nights sleep…
…I definitely have learned to appreciate and enjoy it. Last night was one of those nights. I was wiped out from deliveries the night before (and a few of the days before that too), and my feet were BARKIN’ after walking and running 8 miles yesterday. Got lucky enough to crash out nice and early last night and I am feeling pretty good today. Started the day off with oatmeal for a change. Good source of protein and tastes pretty good too. Caesar salad with grilled chicken for lunch, but not before hitting the pavement for my three mile run.
Going for 21 miles this week…and I’m gonna get there too! Just had grilled chicken with white rice and black beans for dinner. Heading over to the church for my weekly parenting class, a few minutes with my beautiful little girl Meggy, and then heading into Queens and Manhattan to get some more deliveries done. Good thing I got some sleep last night, huh? Hope everyone out there had a Happy Hump Day. For me personally, this is officially my 100th day on this new journey for me. Pretty cool….you can hold your applause til the tide comes to a complete stop though.
